Digipak analysis

Costume

The typical costumes in indie pop videos is usually generic such as black jeans and a white top, they tend to wear quite neutral colours. The clothes they wear helps the audience relate as they will feel like that can see themselves wearing these clothes. Because our artist is with an independent label she has no restrictions on what she can and cannot wear and she chooses to express herself with it. Our artist will mostly be wearing casual everyday clothes such as jeans and check shirts or old vintage t-shirts.

Shoot 3

This is our third photoshoot for my the digipak. Because we are incorporating the neon lights idea into our music video we thought we'd experiment with it for our digipak as it will have some sort theme within the music video and the artists digipak. We brought different coloured light filters to put over a spotlight to then have different coloured lights reflecting onto the artist. Using different shutter speeds and experimenting with light we got some photographs showing more light and motion and then some with a lower shutter speed with still and darker images. Overall i prefer the darker images as it has created really nice strong shadows and i like the still imagery and the red being darker then light.
